Hi all
A few years ago when I was running the county cv upgrade in my discovery I kept having issues with busting cv's (even the county type) so I decided to give the high tuff engineering anti burst Rings a go, but when I fitted them up I soon found they jammed up in the swivel ball and wouldn't allow the cv to freely turn or spline all the way into the diff![]()
In the end I ordered a set of rover tracks axles and cvs from the states and never looked back.
I simply put the fitting issue down to maybe the county swivel ball being a small amount larger on the inside, anyway at the moment dad has his county's front end apart so we took the opportunity to try fit these burst rings, aaaannd once again they don't seem to want to fitin order to even get the cv into the swivel ball the upper swivel bush had to be nocked out a few millimetres which strate away tells us there not going to fit
So my question is has anyone successfully fitted these anti burst rings to a standard county cv without modifying anything else?
Thanks in advance Tim.
