Angry Cannot input into GPS while moving

Does anyone know how to disable the feature that will not allow any data entry into the Freelander GPs while moving? It is a very annoying feature. It means that even the passenger cannot enter or change a destination while moving.

It's not just the GPS on our Subaru, it also locks out the phone.

Try this trick which works on our Subaru - pull the handbrake on very slightly. I'm going to disconnect the handbrake switch which connects to the GPS so that I don't have to pull on the switch.

Dunno if it will work on a Freebie but it's worth a try.

chances are it does work, but just reconnect it if you have an inspection as its a defect.

I think the Suby has two switches, one for the dash brake warning light, the other for the GPS. If not, I could wire in a hidden bypass switch.

Gap's IID tool can enable / disable 'Nav on the Move'. Not sure if they support Freelander though.
