Series Diesel

Thanks to Ericpic and Rocket for the assist, i now have the 2.25l diesel engine for the shorty sitting in my carport.

i have a few diesel parts like the glow plug resistor and a fuel filter or two but i need some pics or diagrams of how it all should look in a series 2/2a under the bonnet.

any one here got any pics showing the underbonnet layout in detail or the tops of the fuel tanks with the return lines etc?

also in need of a fan cowl, aircleaner box and support including the battery box etc if someone has one hanging around doing nothing... these were ripped out when the previous owner put the 186 in ....

Thanks in advance....

Series Diesel

Yup it's a nice complete example, I notice that it has what appears to be a Oil Temp Sender as well as Light switch and Pressure sender, and fittings or plugs in the sump for an Oil Cooler, the Eng No 906------ reads as a Home market RHD from my No list could be an Imported replacement or from a late Station wagon as they were fully imported complete. Going by my master parts book the air cleaner for Petrol is the same as diesel on them,I have not got an Illustration of the return fitting in the tank but I would say it would similar to the outlet possibly with a male to female fitting unlike the male pickup pipe, and it wouldn't have the strainer on the end.
cheers

:? Don't think I've a fan cowl.

The battery box/aircleaner support, do you need the base plate bit that goes onto the chassis or the bit that bolts on the top ? I have two of the latter plus an oil bath air cleaner, plus a spare 2.25l diesel head if you want any of it.

I don't have the convoluted hose that joints the inlet manifold to the air cleaner.

Inc - let mw know when you're whacking the diesel in. If I'm not rostered at work I'll come up and, ahem, lend a hand or perhaps just watch.
