    Perentie radiators

Is there a difference between the 4x4 and 6x6 Perentie radiators?

    Anyone got the part numbers?

And what is the procedure to remove them?

Pretty confident in saying the 6x6 radiator is bigger as its a bigger hole to fill and the rad shroud doesn't cover the hole thing. As for part#, no idea

    Mick,
Not sure on the sizes but would immagine the 6x6 is bigger.
Part numbers 4x4 AYG2739 6x6 dont know- it will be in the REMLR website RPS book
    Removal:
    undo hoses and drain coolant
undo and remove top radiator brackets (bolts are accessed from inside the wings)
loosen the shroud (it lifts up and unclips) but leave in position over the fan
    lift the radiator clear.
    Hope this helps.

    It does indeed help.
One of the brackets is also the bonnet prop, isn't it?

I guess I'd better replace the rubber gromets as well while I'm at it.
Anyone got the part number for those as well?

Yeah you'll need a stick to hold your Bonnet up, no the pick handle isn't long enough!

Also the top right hose can be difficult to undo so you might find removing the bracket first easier.

While you have it out remove your thermostat (triangle with round top, front and centre of engine, three bolts) and grab a hose and give it a flush out. Mine is full of rust dust!

May aswell change your hoses too

Done that but thanks for putting up that info. I'm going to be running some RMI25 in the cooling system. That should give it a good clean.
I would like this thread to contain any information with part numbers on the Perentie cooling system so that anyone fixing their Perentie cooling system can easily find all the information they need.

For the 6x6 the top hose is BYG2770 and the bottom hose is AYG2464.

I have never heard of this, have you used it before? It sounds like if it works as claimed its just what I need.

My only concern would be this:

Does RMI-25 clean so well it will create leaks in the system?
Sometimes. This may happen if the cooling system has been seriously neglected and is on the edge of failure.
My cooling system has been well neglected!

    Then it's on borrowed time.
I'm in the same boat. My cooling system was leaking at the heater core, so I changed that. Then it sprung a leak at a hose, so I changed that. Now, it has sprung a leak at the radiator.
