    Camshaft sensor wiring on lpg.

I'm just about to replace the camshaft sensor on my gems motor.
Previously I was getting very bad pinging on petrol due to a camshaft sensor fault and a modified ignition map. With a dud camshaft sensor gems won't adjust timing.

I'm wondering if I should have the camshaft sensor off or on when running lpg.

Would anyone know if gems can retard timing instantly from amore advanced lpg timing, or wether it takes a few hundred k to do this.

I would imagine it should be on and connected

If your LPG system works the same as most seem to it doesn't know anything about cam or crank sensors.

It simply picks up the injector signal from the petrol injectors and maps the duration to the LPG injectors instead.

So if it runs well on petrol then it should on LPG as well

Not sure about how long it takes to change ignition timing but I imagine it would be almost instantaneous.
