Battery tray in smartkey D4 2015

Another LR "feature" designed by gnomes.
How do you get in here to swap batteries?
I've got the cover off, but what do I pull next?

Nicky, If you are talking about the smart key battery, see page 8 (MY14) of Owners Handbook.
    Cheers, Mungus.

According to the diagram, to prise off the top shell which way do I swing the key? Feels very fragile, don't want the guts jumping everywhere!

Why are you having to replace the battery already?

By my calculations, your car would still be less than 12 months old. The batteries should be good for a couple of years, with normal use.

Every couple of months or so, I swap the fobs over, so I am carrying what was the spare. Helps to spread the load on the batteries, so I am not caught short with a flat one.

Just being prepared for when I need it, rather than making a mess of it!
