Looking for some info on front runner side mount jerry can holders.
I know they mount to the side of the car using a roof gutter clamp and bolts through the tubs existing rivet holes below the capping. Question is, for those familiar with the mounts, could they easily be modified to mount to the rear gutter and capping rivet holes @ the rear in a similar position to this:

And that's the reason i decided side mounted sand tracks, while great on a Camel Vehicle would not engender any love from the boys in blue, nice sharp edges for cyclists, pedestrians and me to bump into.
By all means get a Defender. If you get a good one, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.
