just did mine on a D4, got the whole arms complete done for 1200 at Richmond motors in Melbourne.
Well after 73000kms one trip up the Cape and two trips to Fraser my lca's bushings have had it. I've had an independent give me a quote for the lot $1450. Has anyone had any luck with after market bushings, Pedders makes them now and there is also superpro? I've got a quote from Advanced Factors in the UK for them to be shipped here at under $800.
Any thoughts

All done on a D3 for $900 in Sydney.
OEM Hydro bushes give the best ride and compliance in the arms...
In the case of the arms, I am not convinced fitting a more rigid system in an arm with such a range of flex and movement is not going to have longer term issues with stress around the mounting point.
I replaced the arms on my D4 at 90Kkms with RRS ones from Advanced. They are fine, but when they give out, will replace the bushes with Superpro.Have only heard good reports on Superpro, they appear to be more flexible than the solid urethane bushes.

I'd changed my uppers by 140000. They were making a noise and moving fore / aft like a drunken sailor (diagnosis by gopro). Other noise source can be the lower steering column shaft.
Thanks Mick, I'll be having the steering column checked also.

Replaced my lower control arm bushes last year before a big trip, (loud knocking noises), but when I got home 2 of the bushes had failed. Have since replaced with new control arms. In hindsight it was not worth the effort in replacing only the bushes trying to save some money. A couple of the replacement bushes were not a proper fit. (loose)
