I don't know about catalysts, but I add an upper cyliner lubricant to my fuel. Flashlube is the product I use, I believe penrite have a similar product along with other companies. i've never had any problem.
Does anyone know any thing about the use of catalysts in the fuel tank to correct unleaded fuel and make things run better?
I picked up a bit of info about them at a Land Rover weekend in Blinman (SA) last weekend, but would like to know more, especially if someone has had experience with them.
Mick.

I am already using "flashlube" and have also used ATF at a rate of 100mls per 20 litres..but I am told these catalysts are supposed to be the ants pants.

I've heard various pros and cons for in tank catylists and inline fuel cats, but I decided to stick with what I know works.

I have a catalyst in the fuel tank of my motorcycle.
When I tested it, it appeared to give me an increase in economy of 5-6%, much to my surprise. BUT its pretty hard to really determine whether you get an improvement a s even over the same route every day traffic density changes etc.
I decided not to put them in my Rangie on the basis that it would cost about $300 for the correct size and it would take years for payback on that basis.
