    E Diff or Open Diff.

    can someone please confirm that this is indeed an open rear diff as I am about to change the oil and I want to make sure I use the right stuff.

    Well you need to look on top of the diff, you can't see any difference from the picture you have. If it has a tube like thing on top with wires coming from it yes it is an eDiff.
    Best way to check is to put the car in off road height and look in on the passengers side rear wheel well towards the top of the diff.

    That one looks too narrow - not enough width for the clutch mechanism but as Rich has said, easy to know for sure by looking at the top for the electric motor and wire harness.

    The only thing coming out of the diff us the tube in the middle of photo. I presume it is a breather.

    The top generated picture is the e-diff, the bottom one the open diff.

    Your diff is the open diff, distinguished by the narrow left side in your first picture..

    Looks like you have the standard diff.
