    Bremach T-Rex

    spotted at Kununurra this arvo,

    this is a cousin of the Iveco Daily 4x4 sharing many components. It has a European rego, but note RangeRover Club Victoria sticker.

    I love the idea, but have to ask, why anyone would take the well styled Iveco and turn it into this.. Hey ho, acquired taste I guess.

    Thumbs up

    I can see why they named it T-Rex

    they are quite a bit smaller than the Iveco, this one is quite light too, AUW loaded is 3500kg, even tho GVM is 5500

    Its a longer Wheelbase but quite narrow compared to the Iveco and has a fairly cramped cab, very much like LandRover in that you need window down for elbow room

    It would be interesting to overlay 101 dimensions on these drawings, just for comparison 101" = 256 cm
    101 =184.2cm overall width = wider than T-rex
    101 =155cm track (front) = wider than T-Rex
    101 =228cm = lower than T-rex.

    One thing about the T-Rex is has far better brakes than the Daily 4x4 , using better specced front ventilated rotors and rear discs , all brake components sourced from Iveco, but the Daily 4x4 only has solid front rotors and rear drums ???

    This guy averages 12.5 L/100km and has over 2000km range from one fuel stop. his website is www.kasbah.ch but you need chrome to translate from german.

    These trucks would be a viable alternative to a 101 / OKA buyer and I do hear a rumour that Bremach have taken notice at how well the Daily 4x4 is selling here and are tooling up for RHD

    Interesting stats.

    I reckon that truck would look 100% better if all those stripes/decals were removed, and it went back to being a plain white truck....

    Thanks for posting.

    Looks good, but I'd probably choose a different interior design, and it would be good to be able to cook inside in bad weather.
