    d4 egr valves

    hi everyone.
    I have a MY08 disco3 diesel.This car has the dreaded egr valves which I know toooo well about.Question. does the say 2011 or 2012 2.7 d4 still have these dreaded valves.

    Yes. They all have them factory. It's an emissions item. Later models can detect when it's removed and will throw a MIL light if removed.

    There was a thread about the valve in the Puma, removing the internal cogs,making sure it is shut and it seems to work,without bringing up a fault.

    Would be good if it could be done to the later 2.7

    d4 egr

    hi, that's for the info.was not sure if they did.are they also present on the 3.0 ltr.I blanked mine off but found out afterwards that you cant on my model,so went back to normal setup.not a real smart system in my books.

    ps. thinking of updating at some stage but cant really see the advantage if the issues still exist albeit in a new car.mine goes really well .had the roo systems ecu remap done

    Get their remap altered to keep the EGR closed.

    tombie thanks,if they change to stay closed can I then blank them or if they remap to stay closed all will be well.Another question,if they remap to close will the system throw a hissy fit or will it be sweet.

    Done correctly no issues or errors - as it's the programming telling it to remain closed.

    Excuse me hijacking thread, If the ERG is closed from the Remap then would ERG blanking would be pointless?

    thanks for that .I will talk to them and see if they can do that for me.I will let you know.Heres hoping as I am sick of the issues that come with the egr valves
