On a D3 you'll need more than just resistors. Look up "pulse shunt box"

						This is my first request for information
I have recently bought a D3 and understand the problem with towing a trailer with LED lights on it.
The question is, Do i need to put resistors on the indicators ONLY or on all tail light circuits??

Not wishing to pay,( i believe $300.00,) do you know what is in the shunt box? as it will no doubt be much cheaper, and more interesting for me to make one.
This is after all only on a box trailer.
Go to a Ford dealer spare parts counter. They were selling one for the Ford Territory for something like $29.
You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

						There are resistors to simulate the 21 w indicator bulbs and relays to prevent the pulses from activating the led indicator lights.

						As Gordon points out,there is more than the resistor needed for the D3.D4 needs just 1 resistor.
I dont think the ford plug works,recall reading that here.
I bought a secondhand pulse buster,used it for the first time last weekend,re-wired the garden trailer with new wires and LEDs.With the indicators working it clicks,just like the dash so I think all it basically contains is an indicator flash can to activate the LED indicators at the correct speed,should you wish to look it up.
I could be wrong about the D3 info,I bet Gordon isnt.

						There's a sticky thread in this forum that contains great detail about this common (but easily solved) problem.
Have a read through and it may help you decide whether to build or buy a unit. I decided to build, it cost about $80 and took 4-5 hours.
