    Unidentifed LR Object

    Gday...

I hate to admit it, but despite having owned my D3 for five years, I have only yesterday found this object under one of middle passenger seats.

It has a LandRover logo embedded in the plastic and the number, shown as >HDPE<.

Anyone got any idea what this object is please

    Cheers - John

It's a blanking plug that fits to the towbar when the tongue is removed.

Not quite the tongue cover, but pushes up into the tow bar locking mechanism on a D3/4. Designed to keep the locking mechanism free of dirt.

Mine fell out two days after purchasing my D4 on a GOE off-road day....never to be seen again.

    Should probably keep it.
Try buying one from a dealership parts department.
