Chances are it could be a loose plug on the wiring loom,wiring diagrams a pretty easy to follow look for a connector on the diagram that has the effected circuits,then the hard part finding it on the loom,at least you should be able to track the coloured wires.
If the connector is loose chances are your smoke may be seeping out un-noticed [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif[/img] [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif[/img] [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif[/img] [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif[/img] [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif[/img] [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif[/img] [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif[/img] [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif[/img] [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif[/img] [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif[/img]

ops: The Ser 3 have the Reversing light wires on the same fuse as the Stop, Fuel , Temp and they have a habit of the wires (green &greenwith Black tracer) getting squashed inbetween the gear selector slides, and they strip the insulation so when you select Reverse INSTANT SHORT 8O
