ABS, HDC, TC Lights. Faults cleared without Testbook/T4
Hi group,
Only new here so I am just wondering what the latest threads are on the infamous ABS, TC, HDC lights might be.
I had read of a reset of the SLSABS ECU memory where the DTC's are stored. ie disconnect the battery and let the capacitor discharge in the ECU that is storeing the fault indicators. Thought I would give it a try but to no avail even after 12 hrs over night the lights were still on. Has anyone heard of this or had any sucess.
Has anyone acquired testbook/T4 and a suitable interface?
Cheers

Bruce,
I have had a fault in my ABS for ages(it won't work). I put a post on ages ago and didn't get any replies regarding what you suggest. I'l watch this closely, if there is an easy fix.
But I have been told there are a number of things that can cause the ABS to go down, from sensors to wiring. ( the rest I can't comment about)
As yet I haven't gotten around to climbing under neath to check everything i was told about.

A multi meter is an extremly valuable tool, but I haven't heard of it being used to clear SLABS ECU (Self Leveling/Anti-lock Braking System) faults with.
I have a Testbook/T4/WDS unit for this.
Let me know if I can help.
Cheers,
