Ordered them 6 months back and it is still siting in the box. haven't even opened it yet. I ordered the emergency kit for the fraser trip. happened to finish the trip without the need to install the air up kit.

    Hi Davutch.

My understanding is that essentially it's a time thing. If you have the full kit installed it's quicker to recover, whereas the short kit requires a bit of work when you breakdown and you may have to recover the car to a spot where you can get at the air lines to use the kit. The full kit is there all the time but the emergency kit is used used as the name implies, in an emergency.

Basically it's a decision about whether you do enough off road driving to choose the full kit. If you only go off road infrequently the emergency kit is probably suitable as a fail-safe option. As 4evershiva said he had the kit but didn't need to use it. It's a good backup if you're going somewhere where you can't get help. Have a read of Gordon's installation instructions and decide what's best for you

    Regards,
    Martin
