3.5 V8 Disco 1991 Air speed sensor
My disco runs very rough at low revs when travelling in traffic or around town. However on the open road it is fine; very smooth and with economy around 17 MPG or 15 /16 lt per 100 ks. Is this the air flow sensor or could it be something else?

I would be looking at he time honoured things before a MAF.
Plugs, plug leads, dissy cap, rotor.
It costs only about $100 to replace all of them, and Then you can think about more complex things.
Get a manual and do an injection diagnostic. Your symptoms could be anything, such as a faulty water temp sensor, a faulty Throttle Position sensor.
BUT unless you have replced all of the above electrical things, they are the first suspects.

Hi oldfart......
Is there a LR specialist in Mildura??
If so he/she will have a computer and software that can diagnose the exact fault.
As you have been told it is the AirFlow meter then chances are it is.
What we need to do is get the LR guy to confirm it with his "Testbook" (computer)
See if you can find one, if not then it might pay to have a nice weekend drive to melb and we can get it checked here.
August i think your down to see my new house??
If so and you dont bring the Bus then bring the old girl.....
