    Aerial bracket

    Gents,

I used the Labtronx aerial bracket on my past D3 and D4 and now need something for the new D4.

    Aerial Bracket

Is this still the go or are there better alternatives?

    Cheers,

    Mark

    Aerial bracket

Mark, I'd say no better alternative if you want bonnet mount. Homemade out the front grill is an alternative. Roof mount will give better aerial range. I recently found my range to be the shortest of 3 vehicles, all with 6dB aerials. The others were bullbar mounted and therefore slightly higher. But there could also have been differences between aerials too.

I'm still happy with the Labtronx, given that I don't always have the roof rack fitted and don't have a bullbar.

Agree with the Labtronix. I have a D3 and I originally ran my aerial from one of my roof bars, running the cable into the cab through the rear tailgate grommet (see post elsewhere on this site for details) however I was always paranoid about low height car parks so I went the Labtronix route and haven't looked back (or should I say up!!).
