Do you mean theses three holes around where the distributor drops into place?
If so there is a triangular shaped alloy plate that the distributor clamp bolts onto and the distributor can then be rotated to adjust the ignition timing.
Cheers, Mick.
Hey,
Is there a bracket between the distributor and the engine block? There are 3 threaded holes in the block where the distributor fits into the engine block, but I don't seem to have the bracket (or hardware).
Can someone post a pic? Would anyone have a spare bracket?
Cheers

Hi Mick,
My engine gasket set came with a paper and alloy triangular gasket.
Which should I use
Thanks
whitehillbilly
I pulled my dizzy off the other day, not realising it had that triangular base, and it had the paper gasket (by 'paper', it was a normal gasket). I put it straight back on so I don't know if it had both.
Mick,
Thanks that is the part I'm looking for!! Great pick too, now I just have to find one.

Does anyone know the part number for this alloy plate?

I think it is part # 247672 - 'adaptor for distributor'.

Thanks for the replies.

I am having some issues with the plate I have. I have one with a dome underneath?. Not the plate seen in the picture. As my plate is damaged I have located another one ( same as the picture) but now my distributor will not fit? The distributor is too long it seems?
Wrong distributor or wrong bracket? Any suggestions?..
Cheers wazza
