td5 EGR blanking plate - source for a 4mm mild steel version

I'm chasing a td5 EGR blanking plate that I can tap a M10 thread into to hold a EGT sensor probe.

The ones I can find on ebay are all 1.5mm thick - I was thinking at least 4mm to get sufficient thread cut.

Anyone know of where I can find a 4mm thick mild steel EGR blanking plate? I really don't have the skills to fabricate one from scratch.

I've fitted an egt probe into one the normal ebay blanking plates with no problem although my probe was 1/8 NPT so being tappered seals up fine and doesnt show any sign of leaking or coming loose.

Another option could be to drill your hole and weld a 10mm nut over the hole to screw the probe in.
