    Talking Hard rubbish find

At work today, Leeanne comes over to where I'm working and says,
"Theres a really nice box on the nature strip",,,,
Me;- "So, go get it if you want it".
She;- "It's really big, it'd make a great wood box".
    Me;- "So go get it".
She;- "Its too big for me to get, there's a couple out there".

So, a little later, I head on out to see what she's on about. Well, there they be, 3 large ornate boxes just sitting on the nature strip out the back of work. So I go and talk to her, she sugests grabbing all three if "I" want. She says they'll be too heavy for her, so I go grab the boss as you do

So, we go over and get the boxes, and he says to me, "have you checked out the other stuff?". Well, er no, I've never actually dont this before,,,, felt like a bit of a crim even So off we go

The Box,,, or one of them anyway,

    Some other goodies attained

Not a bad find,,, thanks boss. There's also a small chainsaw sitting at work which I will now have to fix up too There was a mower there as well, but we did'nt want that.

The crate of goodies is a mixed bag of tools screws nails etc etc etc. The toolbox has nothing really in it, just a couple of spanners, but still handy. The cardboard box has some storage tub/drawers type things which will come in handy in the shed, and they have wall hangers to match too . Then of course, there is the grinder, I have one of these, but this unit looks a little better, and certainly has better wheels on it.

The house has just been sold, but I thought it had been cleaned out, so I'm not sure where this stuff came from, but I'm glad old Eagle Eyes was on the job
And to think "She" calls me a hoarder

Hoarder! She did not get any of the stuff. If the shoe fits wear it.

I have to wear my shoe with pride, my wife doesn't appreciate it when I do the slow drive by at hard rubbish collection time.

Hehe,, the boxes are for her, at her request,,, however, on the up side, I get to keep my own wooden boxes and turn them into shelves and cupboards

On inspection last night, whoever's gear it was, was a bit of a handyman I'm guessing, as there are a lot of useful nuts and screws etc, and a few hand tools.

I miss hard rubbish, do not have it where I am now - unless you count what people dump in the ditches around here!

We had hard rubbish collection, then the council upped our rates by 200% in 2 years, cut hard rubbish collection... And now all we get is a small bin

Then they complain profusely about the massive increase in illegal dumping on the edge of town... Bunch of rocket scientists in our Council....

That's going on everywhere now. We get more rubbish dumped behind our factory than you can poke a stick at.

We had a call from the council the other day saying we had to organize the pick up of a drum that was found dumped near the freeway, or get a $500 fine.
The drum had our address on it, but from over 7 years ago. Who knows what's in it now, so we said no.

Our council hasn't caught on to charging us to dump rubbish at the local tip yet.
