    Moulded mats for D3/D4

    Hi all,

I previously had SandGrabba mats in my Patrol and they were hands down the best I've ever had or seen. Had front, rear and cargo. After a couple suggestive emails the guys have sent me an email back that they have a Disco in Brisbane that they are taking a mould of and they should be available around Christmas. I've reserved a set straight away... They have a nice soft liner on bottom so don't slide around and they button down to a holder supplied.

In the mean time I just couldn't bare seeing the carpets with stuff all over them. Im super crazy about these things. Ha.
So I ordered a set to hold me over off eBay
( Land Rover Discovery 4 09 13 Black Rubber CAR Interior Floor Mats RHD | eBay ). They are 180 and came in 2 days. Just wanted to say I am super stoked with them. Fit is perfect and packaged really nice so they aren't all folded or anything. And don't smell like a chemical factory either..

I bought a set of those before I took delivery of my MY13 D4. Same company. I use them when off road. Didn't know the Sales Manager of the dealer where I bought the car was going to throw a set of LR mats in for free when I picked the car up. I just pop the rubber ones on top - not quite the same fit but ok none the same.

I got thes off eBay also.
Did stink a little out of the bag, but 2 days in the sun on the patio and that was sorted.
Nearly 2 years, and the only issue is slight wear where my right heel rests.
Nothing wrong with the price compared with LRs product.

The D4 came with carpet mats, which are unused and stored in the cupboard.

I ordered the same ones when I first got my D4. The front ones didn't have the cutout for the cup holders as shown. I wrote back and they sent me som more, same problem. They didn't respond to my questions after that and I kept both sets. I just had to cut off the lip so the doors didn't catch them. I find them very good however the drivers side has now worn a hole from my heel on the throttle side after 2.5 years. Luckily I have a spare Moulded mats for D3/D4Moulded mats for D3/D4Moulded mats for D3/D4.

I was looking at these but was worried that from the photos they looked more like sponge/foam rubber and would not be very hard wearing.

Has anybody got any feedback on these mats? My "clarke rubber checkerplate rubber" mats have worn a hole at my right heel and these look like a schmick alternative. How do they wear around the accelerator pedal area?

    Cheers,
    Chris

I have the genuine LR ones and they are still great after 120000 and 4 years. Just a scrub with a bit of soapy water occasionally keeps them clean too.
The one illustrated are separate mats for the rear, mine are still two mats but go over the centre hump as well.

The genuine ones in my D4 had not deteriorated at all after 180K and 5+ years of farm use where lots of dirt and gravel regularly accumulated from my work boots. Because they fitted and lasted so well I bought a genuine set for my RRV.

I've had the genuine mats for about 14 months now. So far very happy and no wear. They could do with a little bit more coverage in a couple of spots to better protect the carpet but I would still buy them again.
