Cargo mod for bike

Got some of these 15mm fork adapters in today. they are meant for a suction roof rack, but saw they have 2 8mm holes and flat base. So I drilled 2 8.5 holes in metal at base of 3rd row seat and bolted down. Down bike is secured with no wobble or risk of wearing it in an accident.. ha Just waiting for cargo liner from Uk company. Supposed to be a waterproof canvas custom cut to rear dimensions and goes up back of rear seats..

If you've got a Land Rover why do you need a bike? Or is it in place of a spare wheel?

When you drilled the holes, how did you go about getting the nuts on the bolts? Or did you just get them into the thin section at the very bottom of the seat, before the upholstery starts?

I actually used a length of (Bunnings) angle between the tie down points as the "track", bolted the fork mount into that. Bike is centered, middle seat only needs to be down, and is completely removable.

I bought one of these as it works with road and mtb

Pity my seat is too high and hits the roof cross brace ��

Yeah I went about 10mm fwd and drilled so the nuts would still be accessible. haha wasn't game enough to try and fiddle with the seat material
