I realise we have to have some sort of control on here but I often feel some moderatos over do things by moving posts to other sections I have seen many comments about sporting issues posted on General Chat over the years with no problem. (Almost anything goes, have a look and drop in a few lines. Think of it as a campfire chat with the kids around) I thought talking sport around a camp fire would be normal.

I suspect it was the one about last night's sporting event that was moved to the section devoted to " Sports, Hobbies, and things to occupy those times the Landy is resting".

In part I aggree with you Hodgo, not many subjects are taboo around a camp fire. I also think vnx is onto it with the post in question. As the subject was highly topical, I feel it could have been left in GC for a couple of days before being moved. At least the title and link to its new home remain.

I'm not a moderator on this site. I have been a moderator on two other forums and an admin on one and believe me, it's a big job. There is a lot that goes on behind the scenes that people on the forum can't see.

So rather than posting a whinge on the forum, how about sending a PM to the mods and ask them. You never know, they might have had a good reason for the shift, it does happen you know.

It's a bit like, you coming home and dumping your car keys somewhere in the general area of the front door, and someone finding the keys and putting them on the hook marked "car keys" and you complaining that you can't find them where you thought you left them. Get over it and be glad there's people willing to tidy up after you.

but I think thats sort of poking the bear,,

rest assured this whole "what can we talk about round the campfire" thing is a constant topic of discussion in the Mods Pen,,

I know I am not the brightest light on the Christmas tree,but going back several months ago I posted information on gen chat about twovehicles that were for sale, as the owner did not know what they were worth andnot being a member of AULRO I posted a some info about them. If I had of owned them or had more info I would have placedthe post in the market section
Why don't we have a section for competitions like where am I, Jokes and may be a lot of other subjects that some moderators don't like in gen chat.




I often think this forumis shrinking in posts compared to what it use to be. Its seams to be usedmainly by a small group of the same user a lot more than in the past
