    I.O.E. Engine numbers.

A recent thread looking for a block to match a vehicle lead me to write down some of the blocks I have stored away.
    May help someones restoration.

Anyone shed any light on the last two as I cant find them in my book?

Everyone wants to say it so I'd might as well be the forum clown

Never seen engine numbers written on in texta before, they're usually stamped into the metal

When was the last 4 cyl I.O.E. engine made?
I had not realised they went as long as 1961.

Just to clarify, these are not for sale but if some one has a vehicle they are restoring and the records prove that one of these blocks belong to it then we will do our best to reunite them

I use " Original Land Rover" by James Taylor for Series one info.
It lists chassis and engine numbers for each year.
It does not tell you which engine belongs to which vehicle though.
Some members on here have access to the dealers records that have that info.
