Anyone going to "The Digital show" in Melbourne?

Anyone in Melbourne going to the Digital show?

    The Digital Show

I stumbled on Nikon running some free photo walks through this show that might be of interest..

    Nikon School Specialist Courses

I'm booked into macro and wide angle sessions on Sunday

Paying show entry on line means the whole lot is $15!

    Will do Lou,

I'm certainly not good enough at this to teach anyone.... but if I hear or see anything that might be useful I am sure to share

Well I had a good time and I'd certainly look to go again next year.

The sessions that Adobe ran were quite informative. the ones I checked out where run by Mark Galer on editing with Lightroom mobile and retouching in Lightroom both helped me pick up a couple of small things. I found him quite interesting and he has a bit of useful free stuff on his website too
    .
Definitely an area I need to learn a lot more.

The 2 Nikon walks I did were run by Ben Halcomb from Nikon Australia. One on Macro and one on Wide angle.

Again I found both interesting and picked up a couple of small things in both... I think some of the value was simply confirming that much of what I was doing was right.

Ben was really enthusiastic and patient and keen to pass on his knowledge.

Definitely on my calendar again next year....

I wish they would hold things like this in Sydney they always hold stuff like this in Melbourne it's so unfair glad you enjoyed it. Maybe if you give us a heads up next year I can come down for a night visit friends and go to the show.

Would you say it's worth travelling down for?

I did't realise they don't run it in Sydney as well!... that's Crazy a lot of the Nikon staff where down front Sydney!!

While I really enjoyed it, to be honest it was not that big - if I travelled interstate only to see it I may have been a little underwhelmed. That said there are plenty of other things to do down here as well.

I'll yell out earlier when I see the next one.

BTW, Ben ( Who took the photo walks) showed me a shot he took camping in Lithgow (Lake Lyall) a couple of weeks ago and he's posted it on Nikon's facebook page.
