    Where to source crossmembers?

    Hi everyone,

I have a 1970 IIA 88" and need to replace the cross member that runs approximately underneath the bellhousing. Where can I source one of these?

I also need the gearbox cross member, one outrigger and steering box cover, however I can find these on eBay UK if there isn't a better source.

    All advice/info appreciated, thanks!

are all SIII bolted on or just the military?

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

Try here, they have they have the gearbox crossmember.

Land Rover Series 2, 2A and 3 Cross Members | Repair Legs | Paddock

Most Land Rover suppliers here should be able to get these parts but may have to special order. Paddocks have a setup where you pay for it, they pack it then get a freight cost, then you pay for freight. You struggle to get them to change from this but......if you then don't want to go ahead they will refund.

For the other crossmember advertise in Markets here and see if someone has a chassis they are scrapping. Some years back I got a rear crossmember that way.

The only S3 I have does not have a bolted on one - it is a late civilian one.

Try Land Vehicle Spares - I know they carry one or two for coil sprung Landrovers, so they may for Series 2/2a/3. Also, try a ebay search.

Our supplier can provide most parts and we can get them delivered to you. Which outrigger do you want? Steering box cover easy
