Any dirtbike riders out there

This is my latest toy a 2005 Yamaha WR250F, i used to race road and dirt and since retiring have been a keen trail rider, i seem to have alot more fun now without the pressure of being here and there at certain times and not having to go flatout all the time, just go at someone elses pace now, like my daughters speed and just cruise and help her and Kerry.

Their bikes are a Yamaha TTR250 and a XT225 Sero.
Mine

Kerrys and Nessie's

The complete Yamaha family

Any more dirt riders out there

Baz.
Cheers Baz.

Oh well - I have a girls bike TTR250 (and a few other older ones )

My woman won't even get on my old XR 200 - she was told by somebody it had too much power and would throw her.

First off, TTR250 is NOT a girls bike and goes hard similar is the XR250, in the bush i challenge anyone on a larger bike to keep up in the tight stuff, open fire trails are a differant story thats where the big grunt of a large bike comes into it's own 8O

It really gets up my nose when the so call experts tell you what bike is good or bad for beginners, in my opinion the XR200 or the TTR230, XT225 Sero or any small 4 stroke are perfect for a beginner or a women who is just starting out, there not a tall bikes, there light and the power delivery is gradual, only problem is you can't register them in NSW except for the XT225 these bikes are perfect for a beginner or someone that hasn't got alot of confidence in there ability, i think that they give you confidence because of how easy they are to ride

Tony, anywhere we can, Sunny Corner, Watagans, Lue Station, any state forest really.

We used to have a matching pair of TTR250s until some arseclown stole Shay's one. The worst bit is they were both here, hers had 1000km and no insurance, mine had going on 30,000km and full insurance.

Mine has been everything from commuter to high country packhorse. It may not be the fastest thing out there, but it consistently made it up some of the worst hills around. It did everything nicely, and was brilliant at none. Well, save the super tight single track or wet greasy red clay. I still have mine, and can't bring myself to sell it even though I have kinda forced myself off trailbikes due to some very nasty injuries from last November.

Anyone into bikes should have a look at http://www.dirtbikeworld.net for a great forum on all things dirty and bikey.
