    seat height

Drivers seat height adjustment. Has anyone else noticed that the height adjustment self lowers occasionally? What is the mechanism? I know I have put on a few kg but its not that bad....

You (or someone else) are probably pushing down the height adjustment lever beside the seat when getting in and out of the car. You push it down to lower and pull it up to raise the seat.

Actually I have noticed this. I always seem to be putting it up and I don't think my wife is changing it (only two drivers). I'd swear it must move down but it's imperceptable. The mechanism could be getting bumped but I don't think so.

A bit out there, but do you have the seat memory option? If so, you may be pressing the buttons accidentally and be getting an alternative lower setting by accident. It happens to me occasionally as I hit the memory button with my elbow.

The manual seat height adjustment does not maintain height, slowly drops over a few days. I had it looked at, had parts replaced etc. In the end I gave up and got use to sitting in it at its lowest height setting.

That sounds like my experience, although I haven't had it looked at.

I've read that placing a stiff foam or other block under the lever so it can't be pushed down fixes the problem. The more you need the seat higher the more chance you'll bump the lever getting in and out.

Interesting,I dont think Ive ever messed with the height adjustment,Aaron rang me about it.
I sat in the thing in the showroom when it was delivered and was very comfy so left settings as they are.Being rather large I probably dont need elevating

Mine doesn't go down, ever. But if I sat on the lever when getting in and out I think it would, as I said above. I always have it at the highest setting.
