There's a new film version of this with Michael Fassbender doing the rounds, which is a visually arresting film with good performances all around. However there is an Australian film version of Macbeth from 2006, entitled strangely enough "Macbeth". It features Gary Sweet and is set in modern times with suits, cars and firearms but with the Shakespearean dialogue. It's a gangster type film and it is a very good film so if you come across it check it out. Was very impressed with the modern take on the three witches!! Nothing like a bit of culture now and then.
