Colombia discovers the Holy grail of shipwrecks

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

Sounds like the main beneficiaries will be the teams of lawyers arguing over who owns it!

Was it the Columbians or the US company SSA who discovered the wreck?

That's the reason for the main court case, the Septics maintain it's their discovery and therefore their loot and not Columbia's. (or Spain's)

next we'll have the Spaniards claiming the Falklands belong to them and not to UK or Argentina!

However in the 4 years since that ruling SSA is launching other actions based upon the 1981 agreement with Columbia disregarding the Colombian and US court rulings. Spain is also considering launching a claim that the San Jose was under the Spanish flag when sunk by the British and given that the cargo from Peru (a Spanish colony at the time) was destined for Spain. A precedent has been set. Spain may have a legitimate case. The way things are going, the only winners will be lawyers.
