Headlamps - Led surround

How come the LED surround strip of my headlamps on my D4 TDV6 MY15 don't illuminate? Do I have them to start with, or is that not available for the base models?
The first photo shows what I see on other Discovery's and the second photo is my vehicle.

No LEDs in base model headlights. Assuming you are referring to the areas highlighted on the photo attached? No LEDs in there sorry.

I agree. The higher spec lights is one thing I wish I'd spec'd.

It's always the case, no matter what spec you order there always seems to be at least one function you wished you had, for me it was the Nav and rear cameras.

Have you tried the dealer????
Im thinking they could actually be a dealer fit option.My Topix sheet says no DRLs,definately has them,the option cost was $524.48(Xenon headlights,signature DRL).
Could be worth enquiring if you want them.

IIRC the signature DRL is the LEDs that come with the Xenon lights, whereas the base level DRLs are the round halogen lights in the main light assembly (turned on in the photo I attached). But I can't explain Topix saying no DRL

I can no longer enter my Topix ac for some reason.Perhaps it was no DRL signature lights.
Mine is a TDV6 pov pack,dealer special with leather,Xenon headlights,rear camera,upgrade meridian sound,free 12months rego CTP and free extended warranty to 5 years,$79,990 drive away.At the time a 3.0l SE with 100000km was around the $60000.

Ok that's the difference Andrew, Xenon headlights gives you the signature LED DRLs.

I just checked Topix for mine. I have standard halogen lights .... it says "LESS DAYTIME RUNNING LAMPS" meaning this option is not fitted. But I think this may be referring to the LEDs that can be put into the front bumper low down (like the image below), rather than the round DRLs in the headlight.

I have an HSE and no DRL's. Asked the dealer and he said that they weren't fitted. I thought that they were the led's around the headlight too but apparently not.
