    Slurrpy bore sinking pump

Gday all, I'm trying to track down one of these
Pumps, Water Pumps, Waste Pumps, Pipe fittings and more you find at Quality Pumps | Quality Pumps Irrigation to try and sink my own bore.
Unfortunatlly the gentleman who was manufacturing them has passed on and I can't find one, all stock seems to be sold out.
If someone has a second hand one I would be interested in buying it or maybe someone knows where there is some new stock still

    Cheers Paul

One of my staff here just sold his to one of our contractors last week.

I have one, but dammed if I remember where it is ... or who I might have loaned it to ...

Brilliant bit of kit. I wasn't aware that Ron Shaw had passed. We used to buy them from him.

Pity, as I don't believe there's an equivalent on the market. They were hand manufactured.

Contact Pulse Power Equipment in Queensland.

    Pulse Power Equipment

They make one which attaches to the nozzle of a gerni gun - it works very well - have used them on mine sites to empty sumps etc. Video link below.

I would imagine that this would work with a garden hose instead of a gerni gun, though at a lower flowrate.

We used to make our own much larger venturi pumps (known in gold mining applications as "air-lifts") for transferring slurry containing loaded carbon between tanks - ours used compressed air in the venturi though rather than water, with the venturi immersed in heavy slurry. Could lift some quite large rocks with these too if needed.
    Cheers .........

    Hi Paul

I have used that type, made by the same bloke years ago for sinking bores in sand, 100mm PVC bore case with a 500mm long ish sand screen attached to the bottom. Pretty sure I had the biggest one they made that took a 25mm inlet hose (attached to a single impeller davey) and a 40mm outlet.

Not much to them, an old school plumber could knock one up based on the picture and given tube sizes I would reckon.
    Cheers
