    Bog out

    This is quite smart..

Welcome to Bog Out Vehicle Recovery Device

Cant' say I'd want to roll them up and put back into the car after using in a bog hole ..... but still. I can't see why it wouldn't work

Yeah, but what if you have no traction on the other wheel? If you don't have a diff lock, then that one just starts spinning, so I think in a lot of situations you would need to do it to both wheels.

Thats a pretty cool idea. Its a good $600 to get two 4.5m straps plus two 30m ropes tho.

    Better than something like maxtrax?

    Cheers

You have to do both wheels.... So it would be slowish to setup as you need to setup both wheels on whichever axle your using. It's probably easier to carry a tirfor, but still, nifty idea

That's pretty good - as long as you have something to tie it on to.

Simple idea. You could make a set at home with some seatbelt webbing and a sewing machine without too much trouble!

    Hi,
So how to get it off with out driving back in to the bog again? It has to be unwound again to get it off.

Or am I over thinking the problem (again (or should that be still))?

    Cheers

Good point. looks like you have to jack up each wheel to get them off....

Just drive on them until you are out of the bog hole or past the obstacle ..... then drive backwards and they'll roll back out for you
