Trying to source Indicators and Plate Lights for Bike Rack
Hi,
I am going to buy the iSi 4x4x4 Bike Carrier, mount it to the D4, and carry 4 bikes on it. Pictures and further info in this thread.
As the indicator and brake lights will be obscured, and I also want the flexibility to drive at night, and without wanting to chance the argument with the plod, I believe I will need a plate rack (can sort out with iSi), and relevant lights to plug into the trailer plug.
This caught my eye, and I was wondering if anyone knows where to buy just the one piece light assembly that seems to do the job:
I don't really want to pay the $138 for the full thing if I can find it cheaper elsewhere, or can make something similar myself.
Thanks for the replies, actually it should have occurred to me earlier, as I ride a motorcycle - this would be the same as a generic motorcycle/scooter "tail tidy" light!
Ok, slight follow up on this thread. I have checked with the Gripsports company as to whether they are sure of whether their light (in the original post) complies with any ADR's, especially in regards to minimum distance between direction indicator lights.
They said it does not meet the minimum distance.
I would suspect that the motorcycle/scooter lights also do not meet the minimum distance (please see if you can find the correct ADR yourself - as I don't think I can find one that refers specifically to this application, but I think it is 18cm).
So in the end it is up to you how strict you think the authorities will be on this.
Looks like I will be making my own mini board after all.
