    North Korea H-bomb?

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Most , if not all of the other countries with nukes are not megalomaniac dictators pushed into a very tight corner through sanctions. That`s how Japan was pushed into starting a war with the US. Heavy sanctions, desperate, thought bugger damned if we are going to back down, rest is history. I`m amazed that North Korea has not gone down that path yet. If they have got a decent H bomb that might give them enough incentive to have a go at the US and the rest of the world.

Seems to be some doubt about whether they really have a decent H bomb. Earth tremor signature was said to be too small - more like a small conventional A bomb.

it would probably a boosted A bomb.

fission plus a little bit of fusion (hydrogen/lithium)

not a true h bomb but it does have hydrogen in it.

    Doesn't have to be.
14 + 1 is enough to say its a success.

Probably not even 14+1. Success would have been 14 + (~30 x 14). Either there was no thermo stage or the thermo stage was a total fizzer (but given the yield of the first stage is more likely was never any thermo stage). Either way, that's not success unless your last name is Kim.
