    Lt95 clutch pivot pin loose

Just getting all things ready before engine goes in and when replacing the thrust bearing I noticed the pivot pin for the fork is loose in its seat. On my spare lt95 the pivot is snug, and I recall the pivot pin was loose when I took the fork out when cleaning the bell housing. Clutch was operable before, so I am wondering if the pivot pin needs to be a snug fit or not? When I compare the size of the pins from the 2 bell housings they are the same, and it would seem that the bell housing in my truck has a slightly larger diameter slot that holds the pin.
I am thinking that once the clutch is reassembled, the pressure will hold the fork and pivot pin quite firmly and all will be ok.
Just worth a post to check tho.

It's a common problem with Isuzu's. They rattle it around that much it enlarges the hole. 3 options.....1.Loctite 2.Drill a hole thru the side of the casting and pivot pin and drive a roll pin thru it. 3. drill a hole right through, weld a bolt extension onto the pivot pin and then Loctite it and also secure with a nyloc nut behind. That's what I do when I reco them.

    Thanks Brian.
I guess the more it moves, the more abrasive/wear effect it has and the opening diameter increases. If I were to place a round shim or sleeve around the pin, and then loctite it, and reduce movement, and loctite it all together, that may improve things. Not confident in my welding skills.....could always find someone.
    What loctite is best?

Job done. Thanks again Brian, those pics inspired some welding and I just happened to have a spare bolt and nyloc nut on hand. First weld broke upon tightening.... Serves me right for being so smug about my efforts, and after some choice language emminating from deep within the engine bay, and a second weld, the pin sits quite firmly.
