    Once one of Australia's crack trains. Does anybody remember this train running out of fuel? If memory serves me correctly, it would have been 1966 or '67 on the northbound leg.

    Didnt it share Platform 1 with the Indian Pacific?

    noob question.
    As a kid I used to always walk to the front of the Indian Pacific to look at the Engines,, and damn me that was a long train when your only a kid!!

    Did they turn the whole train around at each end or just the Engines?
