    Like this? Had one back some years now did some good trips on it and really enjoyed the long distance stuff. Mostly on my own around SW and up the coast of WA.

    Any stories to share?

    I had a DR650SE, not the RS, until about 18 months ago. Was a fantastic bike. All the DRs are awesome IMHO. Check our drriders.com. There is an awesome thread from an Aussie who rebuilt an RS. http://drriders.com/topic3280.html

    These are a great motorcycle, the real only fault with them is 3rd gear often fails between 50,000 to 80,000 klms sometimes sooner.

    Something to look out for Justin if your are thinking of buying one.

    Third gear issues;

    The frames tend to rust as well over time, something to lookout for too.
    Cheers Baz.

    Mine had 50k when i sold it and thankfully 3rd was ok still. Couldn't say the same about my XT600 it stripped 5th gear at only 28k...
