On the west print site there is mention of a defender salute day taking place in Gisborne area on the 6 th of March this year. Does anyone know anything about it and who is organising it.

Being organised by the Land Rovers Owners Club Victoria, I think non members can tag along but need to contact the club first.

This is an LROCV event for members and their invited guests who drive Series, Ninetys, One-Tens and Defender vehicles. There are only about 10 places left, so if you are keen to participate, email me on qpm352@gmail.com for a booking form and an insurance form. The event will be held on 6 March, ending at a venue close to Gisborne. Lunch is $25 a head and visitor insurance is $10 a head. All details will be on the booking form.

Requesting a booking form will not ensure you have a place, you have to be fully paid up and I need all details required by the booking form, and also the completed insurance forms.

If would just like to watch or photograph some Landies old and new, the best places on the day would be from 09:15 onwards at one of the following scenic locations: Mt Aitken Rd at the bridge 2.75 km south of the tee junction where Gap Rd crosses the Calder Fwy, Mt Aitken Rd through the big S-bend gully just east of Black Hill Rd, Toolern Vale village, anywhere on Bensons Rd heading north, Hobbs Rd heading northeast, and Gisborne town main street.
