    lower steering uni

How do I change the lower steering uni on 2000 130? I have one on an old D1 that looks the same,is it? Mine came loose and is a bit stripped.

If it is the same as the earlier ones, just remove the pinch bolts at each end of the joint (remove, not loosen, as they ere in notches in the shafts) and knock the bottom section up until the coupling in the shaft comes apart. Mark the shaft, joint, and steering box shaft first though, so you end up with the wheel in the same place.

Trying to find a lower steering uni for a 2000 td5 130.Might as well look for a pound of rocking horse ****!One place tells me you can only buy the entire steering shaft with two joints, another says he's never seen one with triangle one end and splines on the other. Will try british off road tomorrow and see if I can get any sense out of them.
