    station wagon crossmember

Here is a pic of a county SW crossmember. It bolts to an angled bracket on the end of the steel sill member. The bracket attaches to bolt holes on the back edge of the crossmember

There are also bolt holes on the front edge that appear to have no purpose. Why are they there?

No idea - mine has them too. Probably for some body fitting on a different body style, or possibly for a seat belt anchorage in a different jurisdiction.

You have a key bracket missing. I have a spare set somewhere if your interested. Here's a pic of my 110. I galled these and every other chassis bracket during my first refurb.

A similar cross member is on the 130. The front holes may be for the 130.

That bracket is in his photo?

It wouldn't surprise me if they had holes both sides so that it wasn't possible that the welder on the assembly line could weld the top brackets on backwards

Looking again, I think you're right. Either the bolts holding it to the x member are missing or its welded on.

    Thanks RAR110

Actually the pic is from a wreck. I do have the brackets and am modifying and galving it (much along the lines of yours)

The bolts are missing in the pic
