    Gold Coast trusted Mechanic required

    Hi All

Any ideas of who i can use on the Gold Coast to service my Perentie, I don't have time at the moment

Oil change, oil filter and fuel filter etc

Is Castrol RX 15/40 still the best for engine and gearbox, apparently they use the same oil.

Does anyone have part numbers for oil filter and fuel filter

    Thanks

I have used Ricks FWD in Lawrence Drive at Nerang when I worked next door and found his work good.

It has been over 10 years since then so someone might have newer review.

It takes a little planning to get things ready for a Perentie service

    From Isuzu:

    Part numbers
    8943212191 (Oil)
    8971725491 (Fuel)
8941075640 Engine oil sump plug gasket (beware they get them from Melbourne @ $3.95 ea and sell them in a pack of 5 only)

If you're going to get Isuzu to get stuff from Melbourne for you, it might be worth getting them to throw a fan belt in as well

Isuzu part # 1136714641 it's labelled as A/C compressor belt but it fits (I got one) and is only $25

Try Landrover for these (I got them from the UK with other stuff, getting them on their own would be pretty expensive thanks to postage)

FRC 4835 Transmission fill plug gasket, rear diff fill plug gasket

FRC 4810 Transmission drain gasket/Transfer case drain gasket (these are quite large gaskets, you can't get them from Repco/supercheap etc though if you're desperate, you can buy a sheet of gasket cork and make one yourself)

    oils
Engine/Transmission and Transfer case 15w40 - pick your brand, just don't use synthetic oil.

front and rear diffs EP 80/90 (Obviously, get the non LSD variety)

Those are Isuzu part numbers. The oil filter is about $44 and fuel filter is $22 from memory.

If you need air filters as well, you can order them from pretty much any CAT dealer or truck supplies place.

Fleetguard AF4059K and AF988 (there are 2 filters in the housing)
    or
    Donaldson P900433 and P900434.
It run you about $60 for both.
