Nice job! What do you reckon you shelled out all up? What kind of runners did you use?
Hey guys, just thought I'd share up some pics of my drawers I built last weekend for the D2. Made them out of 17mm structural plywood, with 700mm slides and stainless steel latches. 250x200 right angle brackets hold the wings in place and they just lift out when I need them too. The carcass is secured with 2x turnbuckles at the rear door and a ratchet strap behind the seat, using the factory tie down points. I'm stoked with how they turned out and if definitely beats spending $2000+ on a pre made set!
Cheers Dave.

Hey mate I reckon it was around the $300 mark for the whole lot.
These are the slides I used: 700mm 125kg Drawer Slides 4WD 4x4 Cargo Trailers Fridge Runners Heavy Duty | eBay
They're pretty solid so they (hopefully) will hold up haha
Very neat look great if you don't mind can I use your pictures to build my draws .
Looks great. Where did you get the lining to cover the plywood and the draw latches? I was considering doing the same as i already have a set of draw runners and dont mind a bit of woodworking. Save some coin
Tidy job, mate. Goodonya.
Thanks DaveP,
You inspired me to knock something up myself. Decided drawers weren't really what I was after so I came up with this system.
Water drum mounts down left side, Aux battery down the right. Soft gear on top.
Similar idea to the one I built. I was also not keen on using drawers, removable boxes suited us better.
