    Wiring protection plate

I took off that wiring protection plate that bolts onto the firewall behind the airbox a while ago. I'm not sure that I've put it back on the right way.
Is that angled part supposed to point towards the airbox or the firewall?

It seems that if I point it towards the airbox, it rattles like hell against the airbox when you accelerate, point it towards the firewall and you crush the wiring its supposed to 'protect'.

The outside angle points towards the firewall. Its a pretty crappy design and I'm not convinced it is even necessary. I'll be figuring out a better solution once I've done with the re-wire.

I thought is was supposed to face away from the firewall.
I put some rubber inbetween the airbox and the bracket to stop the rattle.
