    2016 Iveco testing

Interesting, so Iveco have finally decided to do their own road testing in Australia prior to the Euro6 2016 4x4 release ( Really its designated MY2014) , now that us current owners have found all the points of failure over the last 3 years.

My favourite Iveco guru (Clueless) Klaus says there is a big improvement on noise levels & dust ingress over the previous models, What !! , those are two areas that nobody EVER complained about , infact mine (MY2009) is the quietest , smoothest and most dust free 4x4 ive ever owned, so thats a red herring to begin with.

Yee Haa , they are monitoring oil temperature levels , I wonder why , but I bet they don't do a damn thing about the issues , to wit crap brakes , transfer case failures , and the rest , nothing that matters has changed.

They need to test it down a long hill, towing a huge van/trailer. Then measure the brake temps....

In a Previous job of 19 years i worked for Holden at their Proving Ground in Lang Lang (Vic) yes not truck testing
This was all before Gm went global say about the time they went Bank Rupt
Now the testing we did before the global B/S was simulated to Aus conditions which in my opinion was brilliant at the time .
Even to the point of towing a tandem trailer with a head board for wind resistance and full weight on dirt roads , high speed and up and down hill route`s even corrosion testing ect salt spray salt bath , salt roads hell we even went to the NT and Wa for testing in hot humid conditions.
All this testing at the time in my opinion was well above your crummiedoor expectations and beyond
Saddly now with the way of Global Gm all that testing changed to their global concept which in my opinion it is a far cry from what it was and should be
Just to add i was never a holden person when i started nor am i now but their testing was upto and above scratch for our conditions i feel .
I know where there is a perfectly good Proving Ground not being used to it`s full extent

Strange as it may be Rangieman, they actually also tested the new Iveco at LangLang , they are certifying it with the 17x9" EVA rims and 37x12.5R17 Hankooks to be a factory option, which is a good thing.

My spies tell me the Transfer case oil in the new truck is cooked, Since Ive put the external pump , cooler & filter on my TC 40,000km ago my oil is still looking as new (as it should be) But I'm going to change where my oil pumps back into the TC , at the moment its just going back in at the oil level but Im going to put it at the top of the case to help lube the low range gear planet , which is where all the failures are occurring.

Awaiting with interest! Can't work out why they've spent all that time styling the nose and first door, but left the second door unchanged and looking completely out of place!
