5 great moments in Australian Olympic history

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Kieren Perkins should have been if not #1 then #2 . Qualifies last for the final by a bees dick , then leads from the front never to be caught . Awesome stuff after everyone including the Aussies wrote him off.

    Cheers Ean

Not a complete list, by any means. Dawn Fraser was the first Woman , and first Australian to win 3 Gold medals in the same event, with a World record in 1960 in the 100 metre freestyle. If she hadn't been banned for ten years after the flag incident in Tokyo, who knows what she could have achieved. Murray Rose, Ian Thorpe, Betty Cuthbert, the list goes on. Andrew Hoy, and women's hockey player Rechelle Hawkes, also won gold in their events in three consectetive Olympics.
