I have a small hook on the back of my diff but there is to much room for the steering rod to start bending. Over the weekend I bent my steering rod and the hook jst transfered the bend to the passenger side.
Hi Guys
I note from the number of posts, many of you bend the steering rod/relay(the one behind the diff) quite easily.
I saw a simple but strong looking protector on Ebay that looks like it bolts to the diff.Basicaly it was a piece of plate that bolts to the diff with a piece of angle welded to it,the rod/relay moves in between.
Anybody got any pics of and protectors they have made/bought????.
Im going to build one for Black Betty,And a front diff shield.
I got caught out a couple of times on sunday with less ground clearance than Im used too.

I just welded a length of angle onto the steering rod. So far it has been great.

I ask, where you get them from ($)
I have not seen them before
simular to QT Services
They are QT.
Front and rear Guards are QT.
Shipped from the UK. If i had to pay shipping it would not have been worth it. Try a local source...
