Hi Pete
Can you get hold of a car trailer for a weekend. Bingara isnt that far from here.
Cheers Ian
I need to get a whole vehicle (Series II) from Bingara west of Inverell, to the Gold Coast. Trying not to pay more for transport than the car cost me...
Any ideas?

G'day Ian,
Yeah, a trailer is the obvious solution, the hire ones I've looked at all have mechanical braking and only rated to 1200kgs, the Rover is 1600kg min plus an extra engine and bits and pieces.
I need to get one with electric brakes, and then I need to borrow a car with a 2 tonne towing capacity. It's 500 km each way so not out of the question.
I have a couple of ideas on the go but if all else fails I will hire a light truck to go down and pick it up.
Plenty of time yet...
Pete.
A while ago I came across a guy on Brisbane Southside who hires trailers with electric brakes. He had ads on Gumtree when I came across them. Do you want me to try to find his details again?
Thanks mate but I think I might have it covered.
There's a bloke who is local to the vehicle who may be bringing an empty trailer up in July; I haven't spoken to him yet but my sources say he'd probably be interested in bringing it with him to offset his costs.
However if that falls through I will PM you for details.
Thanks again,
Peter.
